StellaStella by Mirriam Smyth

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a very short story but one well done.

I really was happy with the book even thought it was short. It didn't really leave me wanting more.

Pon Pon LN Cronk

This was the third in the series by L.N. Cronk. The first being Chop Chop, second being Day Day. None of them are books you want to miss.

This book hit so many emotions - what a great read.

I was happy, sad, surprised, amazed, blessed.

I have really come to care for these characters.
We continue to follow Dave and Laci but we are lucky enough to get the stories of Mike, Tanner, Charlotte, Jordon, as well.

This books starts out with Dave and Laci back 'home' and adopting a little girl who is deaf, this was really neat because my daughter and I just check out some books on ASL from the library and hope to learn to sign.
Greg, Dave's best friend, who died in the first book is still making a differce even after 10 years.

Day- Day LN Cronk

This is the second book in the series, Chop Chop being the first.

Like the first book this was a fast read for me. It pulls me in and makes me care about Laci and David. I love the struggles that they have and how they try to keep God as their focus.

A few facts I do not think hold true but understand why for the story sake they were there.

A few questions about the depth of some of the story but if you want an enjoyable fun don't think too hard read these are the books for you.

Must wait a few weeks for the third book but anxious to read it as well.

Hope the rest in the series is as good.

Leaving Lancaster: A NovelLeaving Lancaster: A Novel by Kate Lloyd

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I was very happy with this book until the ending, I feel like we got no closure. Maybe another book is coming. There were also some things that didn't set well with me.

Holly, down on her luck, is living at home with her mom. Her mom runs an Amish Shoppe complete with a buggy outside.

Holly arrives home (after losing her job) to find out that her grandmother, that her mother told her was dead all her life, is alive and ill.

Holly is devestrated and happy all at the same time to realize that she has an extended family. Her and her mom travel to Lancaster - this is their story and what happens while they are there.

There You'll Find MeThere You'll Find Me by Jenny B. Jones

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I listed to this book on CD vs reading it, I am not sure I would of been able to read it.

It just didn't hold my attention enough to care how it would end.

Finley Sinclair is on her way to Ireland to try and follow the steps of her dead brother and get into the Manhattan music conservatory. On the plane she meets actor, Beckett Rush, and as much as she is not interested in him. God continues to bring him into her life.

This is her story (with a fewe sub stories thrown in) and how she learns to trust in God and herself again.

Chop, ChopChop, Chop by L.N. Cronk

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is one of the better books I have read in a long time. I have never read anything by L.N. Cronk and I had not heard of this book but got it free for my nook.

It sucked me in from the beginning and I had no idea how quickly I read pages. One minute I started it and the next I was done and wanted more.

This is a story of true friendship, of God, growing up, death, life, change.

Night RoadNight Road by Kristin Hannah

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Not my favorite book by Kristin Hannah.

Alexi, who grew up in foster care for years, has finally found a home with her aunt.

There she meets Mia and her family. She becomes like a part of the family until tragedy strikes.

Can they find their way back to each other and the happy ever after that we want in books?
